The first i watched this film, I was a kid. I didn’t really see the meaning behind was. All I saw was a funny movie. Later on when I became older I started seeing the real meaning behind. And I started to relate. I have rewatched probably a hundred times just not only because it’s the best movie of all time but because I relate to emmet. He is me and I’m him. I love this movie.

This entire movie is literally just what lego stands for. Lego isn't just silly plastic bricks. Lego is the promise that anyone can be creative. Everyone can create anything they want with Legos. Oftentimes we don't nurture that in people, and those people end up like Lord Business; But if we can deliver even the tiniest bit of kindness or joy into a broken heart, then we can remind them of their inner child—their inner creativity—and their inner soul. I think the Lego movie captures this perfectly. The idea that being perfect is an imperfect idea. When people have the freedom to create. The freedom to spread their wings; Spread their soul. What makes people especially people-like are moments when they aren't perfect. The instructions are important, but they have always been optional. I think too many people forget that. Take your face out of those pages and just look at those blocks. Once you realize that, you will understand it was never about the Legos. It was about You.
