On the contrary, it reflects the unity and precision of the Creator’s design. God created life with an intricate system. Many living beings share fundamental genetic components because they perform similar biological functions like producing energy or building cells. But similarity in structure doesn’t mean equality in value or purpose. Humans were honored and given a special status. In the Qur’an, when God said to the angels, ‘I will place a vicegerent on Earth,’ they responded, ‘Will You place in it those who will cause corruption and shed blood?’ This indicates that beings may have existed on Earth before Adam, but they were not like him. God chose Adam, taught him the names of all things, breathed into him of His spirit, and commanded the angels to prostrate to him. As Allah says: ‘We have certainly honored the children of Adam’ and ‘I breathed into him from My spirit.’ That is the true difference. Don’t be misled by genetic similarity our true value lies not in biology, but in the soul, intellect, knowledge, and divine responsibility. Those who claim that humans are merely ‘advanced animals’ have missed the greater truth and the purpose behind creation.
