Becoming a master tech is the problem. Today's dealer shops benefit those that only climb about halfway up the ladder. Skilled enough to get all the gravy, and ignorant enough to avoid the hard stuff

That's exactly what I been saying for the 30 years of flat rate...The more you know in the automotive industry to more bs jobs they give you cause the manager doesn't trust someone else in the shop... Stay at being a parts changer your way better off and less stressful...
