my dad with dementia still demanding to take care of his bride (of 57 years) who also has dementia. He forgets everything but her. They are each others rock. This is why I'm single at 47. I've never found that type of love and we shouldn't settle for less.

This hits home. I watched my dad give up everything to take care of my mom who had dementia. We tried to help but he wanted to do it. Married 56 years. Heaven gained an angel in November and my dad is absolutely lost
