How the far right say that immigrants are such an issue when murders by citizens within our own country completely outnumber those of violent crimes from immigrants. And yet, they defend the use of guns as it is still the leading cause of death of children in America. Statistics show that as the number of immigrants rise, the number of crime decreases. This is all a deflection from the violent crimes within our own country amongst our own people to what has turned into violence against people of color by simply labeling them “illegal immigrants“ and calling them violent. This is not America. This is not the United States. Our flag represents all colors in our Pledge of Allegiance states “one nation under God INDIVISIBLE WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!” it is time every single person in this country remembered how many times they put their right hand over their hearts and said this in school. As a European I was shocked to learn that there are more guns than people in the US, that there are 2 mass shootings (involving 4 or more people) per DAY, and that the #1 cause of 💀 in children is guns.
