Candace Do you know the history of how Zamzam water came to be? When Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) left his wife and son Ismail (peace be upon him) in a sandy area, as per the command of Allah Almighty, Hazrat Ismail (AS) became very thirsty due to the intense heat. Hazrat Hajar (AS) ran from one corner of the mountain to another in search of water, but she did not find any water. Hazrat Hajar, tired, returned to her son Hazrat Ishmael (AS). When Hazrat Ishmael (AS) rubbed the heels of his feet on the sandy ground, a spring of water gushed out. So Hazrat Hajar (peace be upon her) made sand banks all around and said, "Zam Zam". Zamzam means to stay. For this reason, it is called Zamzam Water and the seven rounds that Hazrat Hajar (peace be upon her) made around the mountain in search of water. So Allah Almighty made it a pillar of Hajj. 🙏 Candace 🙏
