Rick steves was a huge part of my childhood bc I had no cable 😂😂😂 it was my favorite. I want this for my kids but internet streaming now you have access to whatever you want to watch. Having “boring” TV when I was a kid was actually such a blessing.

‘Growing pains of a broadening perspective’ I love that definition of culture shock. He’s right, though. The exposure is good for you. It’s the organic way of finding out we’re all pretty alike… just in many different fonts. That’s why diversity is beautiful.

Rick Steves’ Audio Europe app guided me through cities in Austria and Italy. It was like having a tour guide in my ear as I took in the scenery. I loved it and recommend to anybody I know traveling through Europe

I spent 9 months in Europe 20 years ago. Rick’s book was with me on every adventure. As a 20 year old I never realized how that time would make such a lasting impression on me. Rick is a national treasure!

It was such a different world then. Simpler and friendly, in spite of Vietnam and the Revolution. But you are correct. Traveling respectfully still opens doors. I deeply appreciate your embrace of the wonderful diversity of cultures and the gifts that are there for those with open hearts and open minds. There is so much to learn.
