I’m acc so confused as a European like do servers not get paid at all or like just not enough to live on? Bc the restaurant I work at the servers are only like £1.50 less per hour than the chefs and tips are usually just if you’re really helpful and it’s like £5 max

As a Brit, she went about it totally wrong but she is absolutely right! It’s not for the customer to pay your wage, that’s down to your employer and it’s mad to me that America works this way
