That’s 100% a bank issue. Sounds like there was some sort of transaction issue to the bank. They bank can fix it

Get the receipt from the hotel and dispute it with the bank. The people working the front desk only see what’s in their system. Most likely it was some sort of incidental hold.

I had a restaurant charge me twice & refused to do a credit. Told me to just dispute the charge with the bank. So I had to leave & do that. Bank handled it. Done & done. Credits back take time.

As a former banker, I have stood in many hotel lobby’s explaining these types of situations to the hotel guests. The front lobby staff knows what’s on their end. But they can’t tell you why your account shows something else.
