My BEST art tip on drawing heads: 🌟When using the Loomis method or the most of the popular approaches to drawing human heads, we start from 1 circle and then move from it as a starting point, usually by following it up with guidelines to find the face angle. 🌟What I suggest is to start drawing using 2 CIRCLES instead of 1, since it can make your proportions a but more realistic. (ofc if you are aiming for that) 🌟Here’s why: basically this method is just a simpler way of academic constructing of the head, the difference is that we initially start with two circles. 🌟A lot of the artists tend yo start drawing with a circle and a cross, and lots of the time the face comes put too big in comparison to the head. 🌟This method might help you to avoid this effect and reach a kore realistic appeal! It helped me hugely. Here are a couple more things to remember: 🌟The said circles(and the character you’re drawing) exist in a 3D space, they are not flat guidelines but rather spheres that exist in a 3D space. 🌟The starting point is usually the ear, you draw the two circles, and in the intersection the ears fit perfectly in the middle of the head. From that uou can build the rest of the mass. 🌟Important: this tip originally is by Ethan Bevker on YouTube, I am a huge fan and by any means do not mean to plagiarise him. Actually, go and check out his videos for deeper knowledge! In this video I show my approach to this method, hope it helps!!
