I think you're right about empathy. In the past, you were just trying to help, but you had not got the full picture. Economic development saves lives. Socialists want to help but in fact their actions cause poverty.

Genuine question - are you saying you’re against these groups because they can have “cult like” traits and are obsessed with anti-western values…but do you still acknowledge the scientific evidence of rising temperatures and that it’s a problem (e.g melting glaciers and changing climates.) I say this as a lifelong NYCer who no longer sees snow in the winter and is currently experiencing a subtropical heatwave that’s typically only seen in Florida. I also don’t like far-left fringe groups, anti-west sentiments, Greta Thunburg, etc, but the changing climate is undeniable.
