@dccitywildlife: Forget brat summer ❎ it’s officially opossum summer! ☀️We have over 16 Virginia Opossums in care, and we need your help! The majority of our opossum intakes suffer from lead toxicity, and the 2 drugs we use to treat this cost us $67.75 for a 30ml bottle, and $140 for a 5ml bottle! When each opossum is getting treated 2x per day for 5 days, we breeze through those meds very quickly! That cost, in addition to the cost of preparing diets for all these hungry marsupials, is really keeping us on our financial toes (all 10 of them)!
