I think this is the future. We should get huge groups of women and buy lush, sprawling grounds with an old stately mansion. And we should just grow food and roam the grounds being all ethereal and stress free.

I once stayed at a monastery for a weekend. It was great. One of the monks showed us how to make jam and we had an ice cream party where we were told the monks fav part of sunday is the ice cream parties

this is legit my retirement plan, gonna join a monastery here in the UK, they have books, they do gardening, they do arts and crafts stuff, they don't talk during dinner, like I can cook so I can help out there, I don't necessarily believe in any faith's but I know a good thing when I see it

There’s probably a Vipassana located in your state. 10 days of meditation, silence, food, no reading, no writing, no cellphone, no looking at anyone in the eyes and you pay what you want at the end. Could be an alternative 😌 I’ve done it twice.
