To clarify for sum ppl in the comments certian states high school sports such as Michigan have a rule where if ur gonna blind side block someone like that u gotta lead with ur hands thats why the ref threw the flag despite it being a clean hit

The victim was moving to tackle and pursue the ball carrier but got blocked. Clean block. It’s a block not a hit. I bet the victim maintains awareness on the battlefield after that.
