I can clock black in someone so fast. I remember seeing that Mariah Carey music video with Wentworth Miller and I was immediately like " he's black" and my white friend was so confused and swore up and down I was crazy. Fast forward years and it turned out he was part black. I dunno, I just see it in people so fast. I think because I grew up in LA and it's so diverse, you really see all kinds of mixing going on that it's easy for me to tell

that's a very American problematic tho because I don't even consider myself black as a mixed person.. I consider myself mixed, it's different because I don't have the same cultural background as an actual black person

I don't look black at all, but I had a health teacher in 11th grade who was a black woman. And when my mom came for parent-teacher conferences, she immediately said "I KNEW it." She said she knew I was black in some way, although she didn't expect it to be my mom. I had no idea she could tell 😂
