I don’t mind paying taxes when the money isn’t wasted. Imagine how many fire fighters could have been funded rather than a parade or golf trip.

it’s also really important to recognize that the “put out all fires” policy was also in effort to erase indigenous cultural burning and good fire practice in california. even now, prescribed burns can happen with more flexibility than controlled burns by practitioners
