Ped*philia is a disorder and the most effective way of preventing sa of children is identifying people with the disorder and putting them in therapy before they offend (was proven to work). Which this guy is advocating for. I understand strong emotions related to this topic but this narration is not helping sa prevention. Its doing the opposite. Unfortunetly real sa prevention doesnt work when its purely reactionary and if we really want to protect children we have to do the hard thing and work on more than just our emotions. This and being for ped*philia acceptance are two different things

I don’t understand the reaction. Surely I would not trust them alone with my kids as they can’t defend themselves, but I would know who they are. Also, It’s important to remember attraction does NOT mean you act on it. I’m attracted to women, would have never hurt one of them and yet it took me a long time to find someone. The video present a man acknowledging he has a big problem, I imagine you don’t chose to be attracted to children, and he clearly says he’s not in favour for this type of relation. Why would you threat him while others hide to keep harming children ? (Sorry, english is not my forst language)

The thing is having them out of the shadows allows what is necessary: more research and working therapies for those men. I rather have them in therapie than in the shadows. Speaking as a mum of two. Oh and realising a psychological desease as such exists is not desensetizing it. Sorry for bad spelling. Not a native.
