i worked a nursing home for residents with alzheimers and dementia, and i had a resident with paintings on his walls with his name on all of them. he was fragile man conpletely wheelchair bound and couldnt tell you what time of day it was. i asked him about his paintings, and said "were you an artist?" he said "no, not were, i AM an artist". this conversation has stayed with me ever since.

this pains me a lot because i know i can do it, i know i can push through. but when u don't have any support (both moral, financial & background), and the people who were supposed to be your foundation kept on discouraging you, pulling u back to where they want you to be, it's suffocating to breathe—let alone to spread your wings and try. it's like being stuck between a wall and a rock, it's either you succumb to it or d×e trying.

Is this a sign for me to continue my dream of teaching in which I stopped pursuing 4 years ago? Even after I passed the licensure examination for teachers or after I took my oath, I suddenly found that it seems my world stopped. My dreams, my goals and my passion.
