My husband bought a Repo Cadillac from a huge, well known dealership.They, sold him it with a lean on it!! CarFax showed the lean. They, said they would take care of it.He could take the SUV. He did. They , never paid it out! He passed shortly afterwards. I tried paying it off to learn about the lean.I contacted MOVEC. It took weeks to sort it out.The, Dealership offered composition to me, to avoid a fine from MOVEC. A nightmare I didn't need at the time.

I've bought a couple of off lease vehicles. Mikeage may be higher than a typical used car, but they were extremely well serviced. The dealer had made their money on the car so I was able to get a good deal on it without any real haggling.
