What about someone like me that has a 2 year old son born in ph, living in ph and wags bring them over just to visit. I don’t want them to live here. Since I’m moving there. Why make tourist visa so hard to approve

I got married in 2023 but I just filed for my husband last month😅 and I’m pregnant, due in November. So he won’t be seeing this baby until maybe end of next year😂

It shouldn’t take more than 2.5 weeks, the system is broken. We have internet and computer databases now, what takes so long? Either approval or denial should be quick and easy.

For anyone who is waiting, reach out to your local congressman and ask them to inquire about your case status on your behalf. I can't guarantee that reaching out to them helped but every time we did, things started moving faster.

The best thing to do in this current climate is find a way to live overseas with your foreign significant other. America now has a hostile anti immigrant culture. I wouldn’t bring a loved one into that environment.

That is not new! My lawyer recommended in 2021 to my husband and I to avoid trying to get students or work visas to get married, he said that the best was to apply with the expected procedure by USCIS: a k1 as fiance or getting married overseas and ask for the k3(not sure if that’s the name)

OMG, that’s so real. We’re on the K1 Visa now and the long distance and the waiting is awful, but nothing beats the peace of mind we have by following the system to the tee. At the same time, planning our US wedding has been fun and a way to remind us of why we’re doing this.

The cr1 was long hut in the long run it was worth it. He came here went straight to work and didnt even meed the two yr temp green card so i advise anyone to do the long but good route

It’s a long process and it’s extremely hard and it’s expensive. I’m about 2 1/2 years into it already. Thousands of dollars. And lucky me, we’re doing it in the middle of an administration that is anti-immigrant.

I’m trying to get my girlfriend a tourist visa to come visit first and see if this is a place she would like to live before we get married and properly go through the process. Is this a good idea? She would not be overstaying or changing visa while in the United States.
