i was strictly power pro and still love it but my grandpa who all he does is fish had some 20lb suffix 832 laying around so i spooled my rod up and rlly like it so far haven’t had any issues , any other recommendations

8 strand is better for casting because it’s rounder / smoother. The abrasion resistance isn’t too much of a difference and most cheaper braids are 4 strand

beyond braid is so dooky. do not ever throw a big jerk bait on a non-foot rod with it it will literally come apart. me and my dad fell for the hype spooled up to 6K sargosas and lost both of our baits almost at the same time

I’ve got cheap Walmart line on my Walmart poles, same line for like 4 yrs I just chop off 50-75 yards each spring and nvr have issues. Mono has been good to me
