Second statement I agree. The first one- if a lesbian says they’re attracted to a trans man then that seen as invalidating, I think a lot of people confuse the idea of trans masc being lesbians and trans men. If someone identifies as a man I truly doubt that they would be comfortable being seen as a lesbian vs someone who is just more masculine presenting. But that’s just my thoughts.

i made a comment about “oh transman lesbians blah blah” and then scrolled… i had gotten a video that made realize “oh damn, I shouldn’t police others labels because they know their bodies more than anyone, and even if i still don’t understand their identity I shouldn’t have to as long as they’re content with themself” so that’s pretty cool and i hope you guys have a chill day

the debate being about labels makes me feel so disconnected from the argument because i don’t use any for myself, and i think they’re oftentimes too strict for human nature. but i’ve heard a lot of women talk about wanting a safe space for women with women, and i just need someone to explain how a man would be a lesbian? i’m not trying to say what people can and can’t do, i just fundamentally don’t understand the main concept being argued and no one will explain it to me?

had that conversation with myself quite a bit. ultimately I decided that I don't feel female, have no real issues with being male, and while I can recognize an attractive man I'm only sexually attracted to women. I'm maybe a tiny bit... gender apathetic maybe? but straight and cis fits me just fine

a lot of people seem to carry their labels around everywhere they go where as i think a lot of these trans lesbians have multiple labels they use in different situations more as descriptions of their internal experiences rather than fitting a prescribed notion
