DLLS is not actuall frame generation but an upscalling with lower resolution for higher resolutions screens, use base resolution's like 1920x1080 and see your true framea.. don't worry about what steam says, it formulates across the board with hypertheticals

I mean either something is broken in that Info bar or DLSS is shit compared to FSR, when i use FSR with my 9070xt I still have the same base fps and then it adds the frame Gen on top

Did they just do that? When you turn it off it gives you 120fps and when you turn it on it, it, it locks it at 30 real and give you the rest in Ai? What's the point in that? If it can already run at 120? This is worst then I thought it was at launch🤣🤣🤣

I think there is a small mistake here, because the frame rate for no fg should go down rather then stay the same. This makes me think that what the system steam has in place does is just divide the number of frames you have by the number if frames your fg settings supposedly generates. But because your frame rate is also most likely locked at 120 fps, then it only goes up that high while also respecting your fg strategy. So if you turn it off then you get 117 fps by your gpu running at max speed. But if you turn up frame gen it could generate many more, but since you told it not to go past 120 fps and use the 4x strategy then it will do just that and stop at 30 real frames. A more meaningful test to do is to leave the fps uncapped and set the fps without fg as the base line, then progressively go through the settings and see how much the fps goes up and what the real frames actually are in those situations.

good job I dont use upscalling or frame generation, I find it ugly to look at but if its a really demanding single player game ill use upscalling bc i max all my settings out

I love fake frames,.games locked at 60 FPS for whatever reason now it's 120 Wana save power run game at 30 and gen to 120 in slower games tho
