I started being stalked at 10 years old. Filed multiple police reports with evidence. He was arrested and raided for CP and then released the next day. I’m 24 now and I still can’t live in peace.

Girl. I had someone harass & threaten me and the police went like ‘ok you can file a report but if he asks for the file he’ll have access to ur address’ 🤡 so guess who dropped the case 🥲🙌🏻

in my province in canada a guy was arrested while trespassing and trying to break into a woman's home to assault her. he was arrested on her porch. he was already considered a HIGH RISK sex offender who has repeated offenses. they released him because there wasnt "enough evidence" of him trespassing (he was arrested WHILE trespassing on the woman's property) he went on to assault a 14 year old girl in the bathroom and another woman only a week or so later. could've been prevented if they took action after they caught him in the act of trying to break into someones house.

This is so strange cuz I had a man randomly show up to my door 1x and the police were advocating for me to press charges and get a restraining order. (But I think it was genuinely an accident and they had the wrong house)

Sadly it’s not their job to “protect”, depending on the state anti stalker laws required clear impending harm. Police “true” job is to enforce laws not to protect citizens
