Just because 60% of university students in Iran are women doesn’t mean Iranian women are free, respected, or treated equally. Yes, it’s true that many Iranians today (men and women) have at least a bachelor’s degree, and yes, education is important. But the reality is that getting a degree today, especially in Iran, isn’t what it used to be. It’s become much easier to get into university, but much harder to actually do anything with that degree, especially if you’re a woman.
