Normally when we pass, our soul quickly goes to heaven. With dementia the bits and pieces go slowly over time. Heaven takes the best parts first to make sure they are there. When you meet again, he will be whole!! 💙

So sweet 🩷I would use phrases like I was here yesterday vs you don’t remember me visiting yesterday ? It puts a lot of shame on the person & makes them feel like they’ve done something wrong or failing. I used to work with damentia & alzheimers patients!

Maybe get a calendar that you write a little love note on the days that you are there, so people can show him what day it is today, and the last visit you had with him? Something visual to help!
