I do believe the extremely large dinosaur were wiped out by less oxygen but shockingly most likely cause humans and chopping down huge plantation that sustained those higher levels of oxygen

fun fact, Australia doesn't have the biggest insect (NZ does), or biggest spider (Brazil), and certainly not the biggest millipedes (S. Africa) or centipedes (Brazil). Countries touching the Equator are where you will get bigger cold blooded land animals than Australia, so they better resemble habitat suitable for large carboniferous arthropods (humidity is an important factor)
