On to this trail guide: This content wasn’t my best. The lighting was poor because it was late in the day, as I spent more time than anticipated at Pfeiffer Falls Trail. Why? If you watched my stories, you remember I led the aid to a medical emergency due to a woman experiencing heat exhaustion. It was worth the poor lighting I had for helping out someone in need! Your guide for this spot: 🥾 Trail: Big Sur River Gorge, Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park 🅿️ Fee: Park in lot 3, with $10 day use pass. If the parking lot is full, you can park on HWY 1 and walk in. Please support our state parks and pay for parking if there’s capacity! 📅 Best times to visit: July-Sept 📏 Difficulty: 1.2 miles round trip. Moderate with climbing along boulders and logs. 🏔️ Elevation: less than 100. 👧 👦 friendly: Kid friendly but not suggested for young kids all the way to the back. Strong currents, enough depth to drown, unstable grounds, and more hazards lurk. Please know your limits ♿️ friendly: No Facilities 🚽: Yes near campgrounds 🦮 Friendly: No 🎒 Gear: Swim shoes, swim gear, towel, change of clothes, water proof pack 🛂 Tips: The first 1/2 mile is doable and then as you get to the bigger waterfalls it gets tricky. I recommend staying on the right in the beginning, then half way through (near the redwood and cave passing), staying on the left.
