6 tips for visiting Ksamil, Albania 🏝️ 📌Ksamil has some of the best beaches in Europe & it’s also one of the most affordable European beach towns! Here are a few tips for visiting… 1. Visit in shoulder season (May-June or September-October). The beaches are small and can get very crowded in peak season (July-August). I personally found the water warm enough for swimming in May but if you are not used to cooler waters, visit in (early) June or (late) September. Prices are also a lot cheaper. 2. Most of the beaches are private so be prepared for having to order something from the bar/restaurant that owns the beach you want to visit. I didn’t find this to be a huge issue because the prices are pretty affordable. 3. Book accommodation on @bookingcom. I’ve stayed in an apartment in Ksamil twice for less than $10/night per person. @bookingcom has the largest selection of accommodation options 4. If you are a solo traveler and have a small budget, I recommend you stay in Sarandë. Ksamil doesn’t really have any hostels so you will likely have to pay the price of a double room even though you are traveling alone. Sarandë has many cheap hostels and you can take the local bus to Ksamil for the day for a couple of $. 5. Rent a pedal boat to explore the Ksamil Islands. They are very close to the coast and the water is so clear! They are affordable to rent (at least in shoulder season) 6.
