Am I the only one that was expecting for the actual example? Sure, 'weird' meant "the power to control fate" but you missed the important part here: what would be the other word? What would be a clear case where you give the original sentence, you show the etymology of a word in that sentence, and then you change the sentence accordingly? I mean, this felt like a half-cooked advice.
