I was in Korea a month ago and I never experienced this. I noticed lots of people staring at me but it felt more curious than racist, I remember taking pics of people looking at me to discourage them but they were all smiling in those pics😭 I feel sorry for anyone who experienced this, it’s not right in any way 🥺 I feel I would have been more guarded if I knew this before I went.

Honestly it’s a disappointment that my country even looks at another race and thinks it’s disgusting.. I have went through racism my whole life, and I’m sure many other Koreans have also, or asians in general.so why would they “pay it forward” I want to take my bf there when we’re a lil older but if that’s how he’s treated.. no.

As a korean who has lived both in korea and the states, i can say that racism in sk is real, and it is usually directed toward poc. im srry u had to experience that girl… i apologize on behalf of other koreans.
