If you want to be trad published, start writing a different book rather than book 2 :) if no one wants this one now, maybe they will after your next book catches their interest, and then you can continue that series rather than wasting time now not knowing if it will sell.

I think if all agents reject the manuscript with a form rejection, u should change your query. At least that’s what i heard. Check gina denny’s tiktok she talks about this!

I sent twenty queries out, got 8 rejections, 1 request for my manuscript which turned into signing with my agency for representation, but I never heard anything from the other 11 agents. Its such a process, but you got it, friend 💛👏

This is so understandable. I’m at like 3 rejections and decided self publishing was the way for me. Yes it’s scary because it’s your financial risk, but I think it’s more rewarding

Reach out to @AllisonBuehnerEditor regarding your query letter! She can tell you what’s working and what’s not! Typically if you’re just getting rejections off the bat I’ve heard it’s the query letter that’s the problem unless you’re querying the wrong agents.
