It’s the opposite for me. Because they do that, I over explain and I HAVE to talk it out

It wasn’t even fights. It was “I’m gonna yell at you and you’re not going to say anything because if you do that’s talking back”

i grew up like this so it always takes me a little while to gather how i’m feeling before i’m ready to talk abt it. communicating abt my emotions is something i prioritize every day tho bc ignoring it never actually solves anything

My siblings and I would get mad at each other and after about an hour we were fine. You forgive because you love that person and nothing would break that relationship. God wants us to forgive.🙏

unfortunately same and I struggle every day with expressing emotion correctly. its either a blown gasket or silence til I can find the right words.

I grew up in a house where no one talked about their feelings but still showed them by crying or anger. I was so confused as a child. Now I feel like I need be 10 steps ahead of everyone or something bads going to happen

So your family communicated their issues and didn’t hold onto the anger? Sounds horrible.🙄

Unfortunately i’m the complete opposite and im hyperaware and sensitive and i over explain and need to fix everything or solve it in the moment. It physically makes me ill to let things fester.

This is why I come on so strong when I’m trying to stand up for myself. Cause it does take every bit of strength not to just ignore it
