this is the trap! the patriarchy! the biggest life hack for a women is to NEVER have kids. I am 47 and childfree and I own my home, no mortgage. own my car, no car note.. travel cook, clean do anything I want when I want. DON'T DO IT IF U HAVEN'T ALREADY!

It’s okay to love your kids and also be honest that it wasn’t worth it.

We pretend like mothers are sacred but we treat them so horribly. We’ve fought so hard for equality as women, but still so far to go.

I waited until I was financially stable to have kids... but by the time that happened, I was unable to have kids anymore. 🤷🏻♀️

reminder to women who don’t have kids yet: researchers studying high earning households where men and women split chores 50/50 saw ZERO percent of men continue contributing 50% after baby. men understand this, know that you’re trapped and know you’re willing to sacrifice for your children more than they are and act accordingly. yes we need legal and societal shifts, but men need to step up, first and foremost

Can’t understand ending this video by asking mothers if it’s worth it feels counterintuitive. We’re highlighting the struggles of women and yet we also want to show that they think it’s worth it. Why? Doing that only continues to put women in a position where they struggle in motherhood and it’s justified because it was still worth it. Imagine if they didn’t have to struggle.

Canada 🇨🇦 was able to start implementing $10/day daycare. So many women are back in the workforce and don’t see having children as financially infeasible.

I HATE how they tack on the “was it worth it?” at the end. All that achieves is lessening the impact of what they are trying to say. Let women talk about the problem. Full stop.
