DMs hate their players. Last session we had. DM "There's a blind secretary." Me, a cleric: "Can I role religion to see if my patron cures their blindness?" DM: "sure".... nat 20. I said my name was Jesus to the secretary.

DMs keep forgetting that the whole entire point is for the party to have fun. If the guard won't budge, there has to be a creative way through or around them. Rules only exist to suggest balancing, but not a single one has to be followed to the letter. In fact, the whole damn system can be replaced and you can have a great game with an incredible story just as well.

It's D&D. Imma hold your hand, gently, while I tell you this: In the DMG, chapter 1, page 6, there's a paragraph called "Adjudicating", which says, in part, "The core idea of the rules are a tool for the DM & players to create a fun & engaging game." It also states "The DM is not strictly bound to follow every rule as it is written." So, no... there are no rules. 😅

Prestidigitation does not specify that the mess tk soil the area needs a source, nor does it specify a required destination to clean it. It's. Magic. It just happens.

had a druid cast "create water" inside a persons lungs. and used "adjust temperature" to raise the temperature by 15 degrees *inside the bbeg*. so his core temp immediately went from 98f to 113f. instant heat stroke and death.

I'm not a Dm, I've never been a dm, but this just seems like something that all of my magical players SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO, no dice rol needed, only to determine the amount that goes into that guys pants

I hate DM who push back on the players too much because they have the “better” idea or narrative. I would have totally let this happen and made a whole thread about this and that possibly have this NPC find out what happened to him and come back to take his revenge.

Technically doable but also I believe prestidigitation would require touching said object to clean or soil it. But you could definitely use it's effects to make someone's clothes dirty and then have the smell of shit appear in their noses
