Ghost job listing should be illegal. They should be made to hire someone if they get enough applications. They are supposed to hire a specific number of people to handle the workload but they overwork their limited staff so they dont need to pay another salary and can get away with it because they're technically 'hiring' for the other position that they'll never fill

Yup pretty much. I've been applying for jobs for over a year and half and have gotten NOTHING due to my spine having a serious disease that stops me from working but I can't get on disability because it sucks in my state

As someone who’s in the same position as y’all, I hate to tell you this, but use AI to make sure your resumes and cover letters are AI readable. You are not being evaluated by humans. You will not be seen by humans. Appease the robot first, humans second. Unfortunately, this means using ChatGPT. As soon as I did this, I got calls and e-mails almost instantly. Do not play fair. They aren’t.
