We froze some of their favorite mini toys inside reusable water balloons and added them to the water table the next day. It turned into a full-on ice excavation and kept both my kids busy way longer than I expected. The water balloons I used were a bit tricky to open once frozen, I ended up having to use a butter knife to get an edge.
