@she_plusfive: The internet really came for me over this fireplace 😂 “It’s historic!” “Don’t you dare touch that mantel!” This house was built in 1850, but in the 1960s it got split into four apartments, and most of the original details were stripped. This mantel IS NOT from the 1800s. It was added in the early 2000s with some trim and wood from Home Depot. It’s not a historic artifact it’s a weekend project from 20 years ago 🙃 So yes, I renovated it. And yes, I’m obsessed 🔥✨
