Someone said when Cuomo mispronounced it - that lost him the primary. Every tia and nunu has seen some old white person mispronounce them or their families name out of disrespect and racism.

I've been told my last name appears Indian...and it's very much not. it's a bad pronunciation upon immigration from a slavic country 😅 and people add syllables to my last name until they see I'm white. Then it's "so much simpler to say" 😑
