My child will be keeping his phone you can fight me but he needs it for after school purposes and to contact me or his rides as needed. As long as he isn’t on it in class there shouldn’t be an issue.

my daighters school had a real lock down this year. it was terrifying and I found out via her phone. the school didn't send out an alert until hours later. She is supposed to keep her phone in her locker. she keeps it in in her pencil pouch. I don't care what they say. how about handle the school and gun violence in schools and make it safe then we can talk.

i dont agree with the phone one. i get its a distraction but maybe allow flip phones so they can text and call their parents? a child doesnt need the internet in their pocket. but they need access to their parents

They lie to kids here in Washington county and threaten to sue the kids until their homeless in Washington county schools! I've seen it first hand! They told them no phones but can be abusive and hurt kids in school as employees? RIGGHHTTTT VA... us parents need to stand together on the phone in schools. our schools are the worst rated.

That’s a hard one to enforce. Kids do everything but what they’re supposed to do . They might as well just let them keep it . Everyone will have an “exception “. On top of situations they actually need to call out . Just let it go .

So when things happen at school like guns and other harmful stuff, the kids won’t be able to call their parents. The school never notifies us until hours later. As a parent with children that were in a school that had a school shooting inside….i don’t agree with this
