hey champions! ok so here's the thing about not crashing out at work - 5-9am is literally my fucking sanctuary and i'm protective as hell about it. research backs this up too - regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and having a morning routine can increase your energy, productivity and positivity. i'm not just moving my body because it feels good (though it does), i'm literally rewiring my brain to handle whatever bullshit the work day throws at me. then there's the podcast thing - i'm feeding my brain with content i actually choose instead of whatever chaotic energy i'll absorb once i'm around people all day. and honestly? the solitude is everything. spending more hours alone was linked with increased feelings of reduced stress, suggesting solitude's calming effects, and just 15 minutes of solitude had an emotional 'deactivation' effect – lowering 'high arousal' emotions, including excitement and anxiety. so yeah, those four hours before work aren't negotiable. they're the reason i can show up as a functional human instead of a stress monster who snaps at people. exercise improves mood and sleep, and reduces stress and anxiety - and when you front-load your day with that kind of intentional self-care, you're basically giving yourself a head start on not losing your shit later. build in your sanctuary time. protect it like your life depends on it, because honestly, your sanity does. #morningroutine #GymTok #9to5
