Guys if you buy a prebuilt you’re going to get the cheapest of cheap pc components. Everything but the gpu/cpu with be bargain bin parts

prebuilts can be cheaper if they get wholesale prices

You also shouldn't buy all the parts on 1 website, you should take some time and do a little research because maybe the same item is cheaper on another site

I would love to build my own but as a starter i'd probably purchase a prebuilt and upgrade as I go! I also trust skytech alot lol

Buying one, there is always something cheap in it. I'd rather get what I want and sometimes price doesn't matter

Depends on location and parts, prebuilt on "real" clearance sale is hard to beat. Saw an ad in my locations tt 'we buy used pc". someone commented "i got just 1600, for my 6m old 2800 system with 9070 xt, 9800x3d!!". So did a new basic cart build= 1950 new.
if you want 1k stuff thats your pick..
But with 6m it is possible prices has dropped that much to i seen it before🤣.

I did this with my wife for both of our PCs in April/May 2024. Mine came out to $1650 building vs prebuilt was 2100. Gets was $1875 building vs prebuilt was $2600. We both have the same ram, GPU, PSU, SSD, and CPU

Building means you get exactly the combination you want (within reason) and not the mix they decide in the prebuild

I stopped building and only hit from Alienware. Never problems and they only put together systems that work well with each other. The warranty is amazing.

All parts building your own have a manufacture warranty, most 2-3 and some 4-5 years so, yeah….

When you build your computer you have the warranty of every single part. Power supply may have five years on it own and the cpu might have 3 years. A prebuilt has just one warranty.
