I agree with Lamont, it is too focused on the coast and MTA lines + it does nothing for affordable ownership, it just lined the pockets of developers for transient rentals.

This was an attempt to fix a problem, but had many issues that would possibly negatively impact some areas of the state and the environment. A sweeping stroke of requirements that don’t consider the many variables in different areas is not the answer.

Please reform 8-30g to require MORE AFFORDABLE UNITS. Only 30% doesn’t help people who need affordable housing. Adding 70% market rate units with waiting lists for affordable units isn’t helping people

I don’t know enough about the bill, but what i do know enough about is CT legislature has run the state into the ground from a taxation, competitiveness and quality of life POV, with no discernible improvement for anyone, so pretty much anything they come up with is worth being against…

This is all false. It’s very disappointing you are not addressing why so many opposed this bill. We do not oppose affordable housing, we actually need it, we oppose the way this was being imposed, without addressing important factors. The only thing it was going to do was destroy small towns and enlarge developers’ pockets.
