DIY nail girl here 🤗 the key to long lasting gel-x is in the natural nail prep. make sure your natural nail is hella dehydrated, free of any residue, and that you use a good primer. Once I started using the Young Nails Protein Bond, my nails easily last 3-4 weeks.

Alright so to get mine to stay longer, I sand the curved side of the extension a bit thinner first. I feel like the bulkiness near my cuticle causes extra lifting. Also, I flash cure the extension like just a millimeter or two above the cuticle line (as if it had grown out just a little) then use a thin brush to apply builder gel in the resulting empty space and then drag it up over the nail before curing that as well. I feel like it locks it in place better for me and is less likely to pop or lift off being surrounded by builder gel. Idk idk, just try it and let me know how it goes.

girl mine wouldn't stay either because I wash dishes and sweat i bought the acid primer on amazon just don't get it on your skin it could burn you and after applying that i apply young nails primer

i use a brush with acetone on it and i rub it along the cuticle area. it melts the extension to your nail. my nails now last a month & i haven’t gotten my nails done by anyone else in sooo long!

nail tech here - most important thing, prepping the natural nail & remove the shine/removing anything on the nail plate that would cause lifting like pushing back and trimming cuticles. Primer is also number one, then also make sure there are no air bubbles when applying the gel x tip before flash curing, and lastly after they're all on SEAL THAT CUTICLE with a nail drill this is so so important, then also use a little bit of acetone on a brush and scrub that on the part where the gel x meets the natural nail to create a seamless look, and make sure they last a long time! this gives me 3-4+ weeks of retention

I just got that style at the nail shop today and you did better than my nail tech LOL, she didn’t keep the 3D within the color of the tips and it looks a little crazy TBH. You did AMAZING

One thing my nail artist did was putting one layer of gel on my natural nails, curing it and then adding the gel x tip over that. And they last like 3 weeks.

You can actually make the 3D effect on a a separate gel d nail to make it easier and glue on nail after with rhinestone glue. They also have those pre molding flowers can please and glue on nail afterwards as well!!
