Huh!? It’s only classified as invasive cause it planted more than the native version. Not invasive like red maples, rose of Sharon, or smoke bushes that reseed!!!

lol I’ve had one in front of my house for 12 years- hasn’t had a single offshoot and grows very slowly. A nice decorative tree that gives you a cherry blossom like bloom for a few weeks. Highly reccomend

I just searched if Kousa dogwoods were invasive, yes in Ga these are actually considered invasive. They are originally from Asia.
