I agree but at least the devs should communicate. We haven't heard anything from Telltale for a while. Is The Wolf Among Us 2 still in development or not? Don't give us a release date but please tell us anything. Communicate once in a while.

I also think games should not be announced years in advance, no rest for the wicked for example was meant to come to console in 2024 and we still are yet to get it

I think it's more an issue with them announcing it too soon. people can't help it if they're excited. so they should already have at least most of the work done before announcing it. but I also get that they use the announcement hype as a gage for potential sales to get producers on board and determine if the extra effort is worth it. but there should be a middle ground there.

my only issue is when games announce themselves waaaay too early it kills so much hype I understand things change and whatnot but maybe don't show you hand till you're absolutely sure you can push out the product in a timely manner I don't wanna hear about a game then have to wait yearrrs

They can have all the time they want to develop, but don't show any trailer till you're within 6 months of release. If the game gets delayed, all pre-orders should get refunded.
