I was there and ended up in the hospital. I almost had a heart attack. Nobody from the venue tried to help. I was laying on the concrete and the only people that helped were other stays. I was sick for 4 days.

Forget the fans, why was the water bottle policy not communicated to the SECURITY. Why were the rules enforced unequally across gates? And what is the actual deal with the water prices because I’ve seen everywhere from $6-$9 as a payment.

Thank you for reporting on this. My sister and I heard a staff member say “you should have bought more lemonade” in response to the people collapsing all around us on the floor. It was an absolutely terrible situation.

Please just look at videos of what the venue in Chicago did for the Stray kids concert just a few days after the Washington DC show. Chicago provided shade while people were waiting in line, misting fans were everywhere, and they were providing PALLETS of free water for fans. Nats Park and Live Nation treated DC fans inhumanly. The conditions we’d had to endure because of their negligence were barbaric.

The concert triggered more PTSD trauma responses I didn’t know was possible. I GENUINELY now get panic attacks at any bit of heat I deem to much. I hate thinking about Monday I want to forget it all, I can’t even listen to skz normally without wanting to sob

Thank you. and they wanted us to use refill stations that had warm water coming from them. the missing stations were so warm that water vaporizing. and staff blocked the area on the 200 level when the show started because it was behind the stage.

It’s like the venue didn’t want to do anything. As much as I enjoy visiting DC (I traveled from IN for the concert), I won’t go to another concert at that venue

Thank you so much for this! Nationals Park did a terrible job this weekend. Staff was rude. No communication between Live Nation and the Stadium. I had no clue that two waters were allowed (because they never let us know!). Never knew there was a misting fan either. Staff was so inefficient, leading to the fans having to take of each other.

Thank you for reporting on this matter! Nationals Park handling of this event was negligent towards fans, the artists and staff. Critical information was not communicated and the cooling centers had capacities of 100 people, leaving an overwhelming majority of visitors with no AC accommodations. Hundreds of visitors were sitting on the ground in the corridors with no relief. I walked the venue twice and saw one (1) misting fan.

WONDERFUL reporting Melissa!! I wasn't even there but I've been following every little detail, and I know someone who was at the show. Stray Kids just performed in Chicago at Wrigley Field tonight, and the venue and staff proved the proper precautions CAN be taken, and from what I've heard, they didn't have any illnesses or disasters like what happened at Nats Park. Wrigley staff handed out water in the lines, even the day before for the merch presale. They also had shaded areas over the lines, multiple misting fans and stations, and cooling rooms, and maps labeling where these were located. Other venues NEED to take notes!! I saw them at Citi Field in NYC, and while it wasn't as bad as at Nats Park, it was similar in the way it was handled. VERY unorganized, rude staff, and people passing out and medics and staff taking forever to come. At one point, the one member Bang Chan took initiative and had their personal security hand out water to some people in the pit.

I understand "rain or shine" but there has to be a reasonable limit to that. If a hurricane was coming shore would it have still been "rain or shine" or would they have cancelled/postponed the show? The heat on Monday was deadly, and they showed a callous disregard for the health and safety of everyone at the event.
