Globally we aacept the truth reality Buddha was born in Nepal but just isn’t saying Buddha was born in Nepal is not enough.Nothing Nepal did to flourish Buddhism.Buddha got enlightenment in India and those ancient Indian king Ashoka is the Champion of Buddhism.I have faith in those countries who still embrace Buddhism in today’s world. My great salute to Bhutan specially for having state religion as Buddhism

So much things spoken, so many confusions. Buddha initiated the ways of living inner peace and awakening with the pillar of 4 noble truths. Basically cultural differences among the countries have made it shape differently but yeah it’s to correlate with the principles of 4 noble truth. Capitalism glorifies materialistic values while Dharma is all about inner sciences. But doesn’t mean it’s a practice of poor or developing countries. It’s a way of life not category of religion.

China is considered buddhist country but why do they go on k*lling many great Tibetn buddhist masters? I mean, political reason is undrstood but why k*ll helpless monks and that too great mastrs? Evry year some great mastrs are being poisond or k*ll undr mysterius circumstances. This is too unbuddhistic conduct. k*lling ordinary beings itslf will reslt in negativ karma but great pure beings can accumlate uncountable lifetimes in lowe realms. Country n suprpowr is just tempory and might last eithr for few yrs or a century at the most, but ones wandering in this cyclic existence is for aeons. Resorting to such mindless actions while you are in power is the greatest folly.

A lot of these countries just came out of war and general a wealthier a country, less religious it is. The U.S. is an outlier …but look at Latin America and Philippines(Catholic) are poorer than some of the Buddhist counties.

There are a lot more elements that contribute to how rich the people are. I think one of the reasons was the politics within SEA countries which contribute greatly to income disparity.

I feel the result of the current functioning of these world is coz of our own confusion beyond our understanding of being a human. And well, Bhuddhism teaches us to be human an thus proves this system or way of life very wrong.

Tibetan Buddhism is a unique blend of Mahāyāna and Vajrayāna traditions. When I say “Tibetan,” I’m referring to the Buddhism of Tibet, distinct from any Chinese influence. It’s a rich spiritual tradition, though I’m not fully familiar with all its intricacies. As a Tibetan, I sometimes feel our deep focus on religion may have left us politically vulnerable and less engaged in international relations, which could have contributed to the loss of our homeland.
Mahāyāna emphasizes working toward enlightenment not just for oneself but for the benefit of all sentient beings, and this compassionate outlook shapes Tibetan Buddhism. It’s hard to gauge the happiness of Tibetans today, given Tibet’s occupation and the scattered diaspora, but I believe we are generally a joyful people. Our Buddhist teachings foster less attachment and cultivate compassion, which truly works wonders

@🤓:Capitalism, somwhat related to the enlightenment ism such as individualism which in its core based on the the existant of a person, the "I think, therefore I am", is totally opposing the core of the teaching of Buddha, the non-existing or Anattā but a phenomena of the physical five aggregates that create cognition, Vinyānā.
In short,
I think. Therefore I am. => One's existant is true. => Individualism => Liberalism => Capitalism
vs
Annatā => Nothing exist => ...
This foundamental differences evolve into different values and attitude and hence politics, economic and social community.

A person has two eyes: the religious eye and the economic eye. Just like in real life, having both eyes is best. If someone lacks the religious eye, they may become selfish and driven by greed, willing to do anything to satisfy their desires.
