i 1000% back a nice hydrating toner, i layer toners but one is definitely enough as well. u can layer on a hydrating toner multiple times as much as u need. i also love double cleansing, i recommend not using that aha/bha toner daily as over exfoliating isnt good. 3 times a week is good. the vanicream moisturizer is awesome, korean or japanese sunscreens r my holy grail. adding a retinol is super nice too and i always recommend ^_^ i have certain brands i love that i can list if u want, all pretty reasonable prices

i’m so serious i switched to the Aestura atobarrier cream a month or two and my life changed! it is such a good and simple moisturizer, they also have a hydrating serum that feels amazing i just can’t be bothered to have more than 4 steps in my skincare routine

if I was going to pick just four products for your goals it would be a gentle cleanser (I like Cetaphil), a brightening toner (I like Acwell Licorice Toner but one with niacinamide would be great), a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid (I like Kiehl's HydroPlumping but she is expensive, there are plenty of cheaper ones!). For daytime, a sunscreen - you can play around with those, I found Anua Heartleaf Sun Cream to be really dewy and hydrating! And for nighttime a ceramide-rich moisturizer, I like Purito Dermide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack but for acne prone skin you might prefer Paula's Choice Ceramide Enriched Firming Moisturizer

i’ve been using that gentle cerave cleanser, the cerave pm lotion, naturium barrier bounce, and good molecules eye cream! i also like the trader joe’s sunscreen 😊

the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid serum has been my holy grail for a little bit now! it’s very affordable and makes my skin so soft and moisturized!
