@justinveenema: Vibe check passed ✅ I was hanging out near Coal Harbour in Vancouver, when someone pulled up in the bike lane right in front of me. I don’t know exactly what it was, but something told me that this girl had really great energy. And DAMN was I right 🎯 @gissala had the most beautiful, positive vibes right from the start. And that smile? No hesitation of letting that shine for the photos. I didn’t want to keep her too long (since she was literally in the bike lane, coming home from the gym lol). But I wanted to ask a few quick questions so I could learn more about her. Her egg analogy legit had me saying “awwww” out loud lol. And had some hesitation when she said that she’s a DJ and she makes music… She said saying it out loud felt kinda weird, because “she’s not there yet” As a fellow artist, I know EXACTLY what that feels like. It’s a never ending game of imposter syndrome. So I said those same words out loud myself, just so she could hear how it sounded. “Your’e a DJ, and you make music. That’s awesome.” 🔥 And right away I could see that spark a fire inside of her.
